Strong Results for Execflyer as the Winter season begins

With the ski season just around the corner, Execflyer is gearing up for one of its busiest private jet charter winters to date! Strong results in November and good prices in the market mean more and more people are taking to the air to try private jet charter – many as first time flyers.

Demand for Flights to Sion, the gateway to Verbier, Veysonnaz, Four Valleys and many more has been particularly high with commercial flights limited and often at inconvenient times. But it’s not just the Skiing destinations that are popular this winter! An increasingly larger number are choosing to shake off the snow and cold weather as the private jet charter season in the Caribbean kicks off. Recent trends are showing that St Maarten is becoming one of the most sought after destinations this winter, and with last years snow causing hundreds of last minute charters due to commercial cancellations, those wishing to secure their aircraft are booking further in advance to secure an aircraft. It is often the case that when commercial traffic is disrupted by weather, private air charter can be the only way to fly as we can depart from airfields that are unaffected by weather and have aircraft based in many different locations.

With this in mind, Execflyer’s head of Charter sales Jamie Dickson said “The last two months have been incredibly busy for Execflyer, with heavy jet bookings up 17.8% over last year. We have noticed a strong trend of booking further in advance – most likely due to the adverse weather last year and would advise all clients wishing to fly this winter to secure an aircraft earlier than usual to avoid disappointment.”

To combat restricted availability, Execflyer has teamed up with a number of new operators to offer fantastic availability across a range of aircraft, giving you access to a fleet of the most modern and advanced private jets on the planet.

Additionally due to our commitment to nurture long standing relationships with our clients, we are always seeking to offer the best price possible on any given trip by covering hundreds of operators capable of completing the task to our high standards or quality and safety.

Also for the 2011/12 ski season we are pleased to be working with Verbier Exclusive again to offer luxury private jet ski packages with Verbier’s premier chalet provider. In addition to this, we have also teamed up with Hidden Dragon in Association with Bear and Squirrel to offer clients a bespoke luxury ski package in the Les 4 Vallees region.

If you require further information or pricing for any packages, private jet charter or helicopter charter flights then please get in touch.
You can call us 24*7 on +44(0) 1926 840057 or email fly@execflyer.com. Additionally you can visit the website to submit your charter request at www.execflyer.com.

Private Jet winter market

As we head into the 2011/2012 ski season, demand for private jet charter to the ski resorts of Europe is high despite current economic uncertainty. On top of this, flying habits have changed and cost is becoming an ever increasing factor. Clients are opting to share aircraft charters with friends and family in order to minimise costs whilst others with more flexible travel dates make use of private jet empty sectors. Additionally more and more flyers are opting to travel to airfields where aircraft are based in order to reduce positioning costs.

Whilst schedules are busy and aircraft are flying, it is still not plain sailing. In the current market where cost is usually the deciding factor the industry has had to reduce costs and take even finer margins to get aircraft flying.

Execflyer’s Head of Charter Sales Jamie Dickson said “In today’s highly competitive market, we are having to reduce margins in order to win business. In order to offer clients the best possible air charter deal, our team are constantly monitoring the market and shopping around on behalf of customers to ensure we can consistently  deliver the best value”.

This year Execflyer expect to have one of their busiest winters, with Sion and Chambery already proving to be top of the destination hit list. For 2011/2012 they continue their partnership with Verbier Exclusive to offer clients a seamless experience from the UK to Verbier allowing access to one of the regions top chalet providers at discounted rates. New this year is the addition of all inclusive packages offering accommodation and private jet flights at great rates. For more information please visit the website at http://www.execflyer.com

Latest Website Launched

UK based air charter firm, Execflyer, are pleased to announce the launch of the latest edition of their website, www.execflyer.com. In compiling the new look site, the Execflyer team gathered feedback over a period of 2 years with a focus on look and feel. Their number one priority was compatibility across a wide range of browser types and mobile devices such as iPad and Blackberry. “We realised from client feedback that an increasing proportion of our clients are using mobile devices to search for air charter services. Thus we put great emphasis on cross platform functionality in planning this latest release” stated Jamie Dickson, Head of Charter Sales at Execflyer.

Visitors to the site can choose how they wish to contact the team at Execflyer. New to the site is a one click “urgent charter” tab, for clients that wish to circumnavigate the quote generation function. The team are also on hand 24*7 by telephone in order to serve clients in the US, EMEA and Asia-Pac.

An increasing proportion of the work undertaken at Execflyer comprises specialist tasks such as the transportation of precious stones, repatriations and last minute deliveries of engineering parts for airlines and motorsport teams. The new website reflects this work to ensure that clients can quickly understand the areas in which Execflyer can add value from an air charter perspective. Their team of consultants are all qualified pilots and thus can quickly and concisely advise clients on the most effective air charter solutions for the task.

Mr Dickson went on to state that “Visitors will note that we have included a dedicated London 2012 Olympics air charter page to highlight the helicopter and jet charter solutions we have put in place for the London based games. We envisage that this period will be one of the busiest ever experienced for UK business aviation and thus our Olympics air charter page aims to steer clients quickly through the air charter process for this event. Flying High this summer!

We are now well in to the summer peak season for private jet charter and helicopter charter, but where are people going? Execflyer air charter has looked back at our private jet charter and helicopter flights so far this busy summer to look at where the big hits of the this year are!

Private jet charter within Europe has seen an increase this year, particularly within the VLJ sector, and we are seeing very high demand for cost effective Very Light Jet aircraft such as the Citation Mustang, Eclipse 500 and Embraer Phenom.

This summer, our most popular destinations for private jet charter have been predominantly the south of France, with Toulon/Hyeres airport serving St Tropez and its fantastic nightlife, beaches and of course the stunning location on the Mediterranean.
Another firm favourite with in the jet charter market has been the Spanish islands of Palma and for the more outgoing, Ibiza – the clubbing capital of the world.
Due to their popularity, these areas also see a high number of empty legs going to and from the UK, which more and more people are starting to utilise in conjunction with commercial flights to allow them to experience the private jet charter world at a fraction of the cost.

Within the helicopter sector, more and more people are now realising the massive benefits of helicopter charter for events such as Silverstone, Goodwood, Glastonbury and concerts, not only as a luxurious and exciting way to arrive, but as an effective tool to beat the traffic often situated around these venues.
Helicopter charter at this years F1 Silverstone grand prix was the busiest it has ever been, with slots at a premium, and aircraft availability stretched, we anticipate this event to be even busier next year, and are currently in discussion to secure availability for our clients to ensure they do not miss out.

However, the summer is not over yet, so if you have any private jet charter or helicopter charter requirements, then please get in touch. You can call +44(0) 1926 840057 or email fly@execflyer.com

G250 Renamed!

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has renamed the super midsized Gulfstream G250 aircraft; the business jet is now called the Gulfstream G280.
As demand for Gulfstream business jets grows around the world, the move was prompted by the company’s sensitivity to the varied cultures of its international customer base.
“Since introducing the Gulfstream G250 in 2008 and presenting it to customers around the world, we determined that G280 is a more amenable number sequence in certain cultures,” said Larry Flynn, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Gulfstream. “We value our international customers highly, and this change reflects our commitment to understanding the diverse cultures of our global business environment.”
The renaming will not affect any other in-production Gulfstream aircraft.

Eurocopter Delivers 1000th EC135!

Eurocopter delivered the 1,000th EC135 to its new owner.

This latest purchase brings the organisation’s fleet up to a total of 51 aircraft, including the BK117 and EC145 in addition to the EC135. In total, these aircraft have clocked up no less than 550,000 flight hours to date and saved numerous lives.

British Grand Prix 2011

Silverstone is always the busiest day in the UK helicopter charter calendar, but this year record numbers took to the skies in a bid to avoid the traffic and arrive at the circuit in style with an exclusive helicopter charter to Silverstone.

At Execflyer, we had our busiest British Grand Prix to date, and despite last minute bookings and incredibly tight slot restrictions, we are happy to say we got all of our clients in to the Grand prix circuit at their preferred arrival times!

Execflyer’s Jamie Dickson said “Silverstone was very successful for us this year, with most clients leaving bookings until the last 2 weeks. Despite many people opting for shuttle flights, the exclusive charter demand remained strong. Slot restrictions of 4 minutes coupled with no onsite parking and fuel also put extra strain on already busy helicopters, but we are pleased to say it all went smoothly on the day”.

Looking to next year, Execflyer will be offering an even wider selection of aircraft to our clients, to ensure greater availability and choice for their helicopter charter to the British Grand Prix.

For information or pricing on helicopter charter or private jet charter, please visit www.execflyer.com or call 01926 840057. You can also email fly@execflyer.com .

London to New York in 90 minutes??

New plans have been unveiled at the Paris airshow for a 3000 mph aircraft, that could whisk passengers from London to new york in as little as 90 minutes!!
The aircraft, codenamed ZEHST, would be capable of flying 20 miles above the earths surface, and carrying passengers to Australia in under 3 hours!

Whats more, as the jet cruises in the upper atmosphere, there would be no pollution!

The only catch, it wont be ready for 40 years! Its something to look forward to I suppose!

Private Jets - A barometer for market health?

Here we are in 2011, every one of us contemplating the very real impact of the credit crunch and its legacy not just across our own generation, but that of future generations. Whilst the coalition bang on about the need to reign in spending, the city regarded as the epicentre of the meltdown, charge full steam ahead with higher base salaries and bonuses which now mirror pre credit crunch levels. Spending has been reigned in across many areas of the city with one key indicator being corporate travel. A key element of corporate travel pre credit crunch was jet and helicopter charter. Senior executives needed to travel wide and far, with ever increasing pressures on time in this new global economy.

Pre recession, it was considered the norm for investment banks and hedge funds to fly their senior executives on private jets. It only seems like yesterday that the notorious automotive executives flew into that ill fated bail out meeting on board their company jets! Today even budget airline travel has to be signed off in the majority of firms. Could a video conference achieve the same goal? Is it absolutely necessary to make the trip? However, now that the market is on the slow road to recovery, is the term “private jet” still a dirty word in the city?

The private jet cycle usually lags two years behind corporate earnings, and in line with this, we are now starting to see increased demand for private air charter across the corporate sector. Big business, in particular the investment banking sector, are utilising private jets to allow them to undertake multiple meetings, across multiple cities in one day to create new business opportunities and raise new assets. It is possible to use private jet charter demand as an indicator of confidence in the market and more importantly actual business activity across the financial sector. However, the provocative question remains – will we ever see the same utilisation of the pre credit crunch era?

Whilst private jets are more expensive than their commercial alternatives, there are obvious situations where they are essential. The decision that senior management must make in selecting between the commercial and private options remains dependant on a number of factors, with cost vs. benefit analysis carried out on a trip-by-trip basis. This analysis will focus around the probability of the trip ending in a boost to the bottom line, level of competition from other firms, a need to impress a client and finally the advantage in meeting a potential client face to face in order to judge body language. In some instances where a company are chasing new business, the potential client like to see a firm chasing the deal and making an effort. Video-conferencing will never replace physical attendance in this case.

At Execflyer, we have seen a notable increase in demand for in flight WiFi connectivity, phone facilities to allow our clients to continue working whilst in transit, ensuring the most productive use of time. The private jet minimises time out of the office for key revenue earners ensuring that the company remain as efficient as possible.
With new technology development continuing at pace, companies can ensure that time spent travelling is not down time, but time spent working. With listed firms now under more scrutiny than ever before from shareholders, assets such as private jets and helicopters are still considered excessive and unnecessary. In reality they are far from being icons of corporate excess but an essential tool required to compete on a global scale whilst maximising the most precious commodity of all……time.

For more information on any private jet charter or helicopter charter requirements, please call 01926 840057, or email fly@execflyer.com or visit http://www.execflyer.com

Top 5 Private Jets!

Private Jets are the most luxurious way to travel, but what is the best of the best? At Execflyer, we asked our private jet charter clients what aircraft they preferred, and why they preferred them.

In at number 5 was the Cessna Citation X, Cessna’s flagship aircraft. Whilst it does have a very spacious, quiet and relaxing cabin, this isn’t the reason it features here. Our clients liked it for another, very special attribute. Speed. This Ferrari of the skies will fly at mach .92, making it the fastest way to travel today. Its sleek, elegant design also makes it very easy on the eyes.

Fourth on the list is the timeless Gulfstream, specifically, the G550. This aircraft does everything you would expect it to, with a full stand up cabin, a range of  6750 nautical miles, and a cruise speed of Mach .80. Our clients liked the space in the cabin, and the ability to fly non-stop to almost any destination. The gulfstream is the most widely used jet for long range private jet charter flights in the world.

At number three, it was a podium finish for the French built Dassault Falcon 7X. This three engine jet is one of the most impressive aircraft available, with a large cabin, and a very quiet interior. The 7X can also get into shorter runways than other aircraft of that size, giving passengers a bigger choice of airfields.

Coming in a close second, is the Bombardier Global Express. This really is the ultimate true business jet, with the largest cabin, a high cruise speed of mach .85, and a range of over 6000 nautical miles. Preferred by everyone who flies on it, once you have been on a global, you will never go back to any other aircraft for your private jet charter!

In first position though, for obvious reasons, is the BBJ, the Boeing Business Jet. The BBJ brings in new levels of luxury to the private jet charter market, with a full airliner cabin, that includes bedrooms, showers and board rooms to name a few of the facilities available. The BBJ can carry up to 52 people in first class seats, or as little as 18 in a full VVIP configuration, and has a range of up to 6200 nautical miles.

How Private is your Private Jet?

How private is your Private Jet?
Leading air charter provider, Execflyer have teamed up with Pinnacle Risk Management to provide bug sweeping services for clients who need re-assurance that their aircraft cabin is 100% secure.
Jamie Dickson, head of charter stated that, “We have seen increased demand for security on board our charter aircraft, as well as a requirement to provide the same service for private owners. A recent high profile case in the media has highlighted some of the techniques used in order to secure exclusive stories. As a result, we are addressing the question of security in an environment that we all assume to be watertight. On one aircraft turn around engineers, caterers and handling staff could potentially access an aircraft cabin. In an ideal world we would trust that everyone within the perimeter of an airport anywhere on a global scale has been security checked. However there is always the risk that someone is paid a substantial amount to bug an aircraft cabin. Highly sensitive conversations take place in this environment, hence the launch of this service.”
Pinnacle Director, Matt Croucher added that “The methods employed by media and corporations to gain the inside track on a deal, celebrity movements etc have become increasingly sophisticated. The latest transmitters are difficult to identify, though here at Pinnacle we have invested significantly in equipment to find such devices. One high profile client found a tracker under his car, after he became suspicious that the media always knew his whereabouts. The private jet empty leg market is picking up! With more and more people booking their aircraft charter for the summer, empty sectors are cropping up constantly, and there are some excellent deals to be had!

For example, a 6 seat Cessna Citation CJ2 from the UK to Faro, standard charter price £9700, empty leg price of £3500! Thats less than £600 per passenger!

And for all those who like to visit the slopes, a citation Sovereign with 9 seats flying empty from London to Chambery, normal price £8100, empty leg price of £3800! Less than £430 per person!

Private jet charter with added security!

Execflyer Air Charter is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Pinnacle Risk Management, a leading provider of close protection, evacuation and risk management services. As a result of growing tensions in the Middle East and Africa, Execflyer were retained by a number of businesses operating in this region amid growing concern for employees. Execflyer teamed up with Pinnacle when it was clear that specialist military expertise was required for this particular situation. Pinnacle, headed up by Matt Croucher GC, were able to draw upon a wealth of experience from Special Forces, RM Commandos and the secret service. In a matter of hours, a team were put together with aircraft solutions, personnel and more importantly insurances in place.
Steven Moth, Director of Execflyer commented, “Working with Pinnacle has been a real eye opener to say the least. These guys are trained to overcome any hurdle in sometimes very challenging environments. The confidence, attention to detail and sheer quality of personnel that Pinnacle pulled together in a very short time frame was nothing short of outstanding. Within hours we had 3 very viable solutions to extract a number of key personnel from remote, hostile locations in North Africa.”
Matt Croucher added that “working with Execflyer Air Charter has given us a platform upon which to showcase our skills both from a corporate and security perspective. In the run up to this announcement, we have undertaken close protection work for their high net worth clients, as well as aircraft evacuations from the North African region. In the future, we are also looking at the possibility to offer close protection to their political charter clients. The work we have undertaken thus far has been highly successful and thus such a partnership makes perfect sense.”
