Execflyer are pleased to announce that our brand new private jet empty legs page went live on our website today. This new feature allows clients to browse a comprehensive list of empty legs all over the world at reduced rates and in one place. These flights range from short hops on Citation Mustang’s, to transatlantic flights on Falcon 900’s and Global 5000’s. empty legs are becoming more and more popular for both operators and clients, as Execflyer’s Jamie Dickson explains.
“With cost becoming a bigger factor in today’s market, many clients, especially those travelling for leisure are choosing to be flexible on their times and dates of travel to take advantage of the savings empty legs can provide. At Execflyer, we are witnessing a sharp rise in the number of people using empty legs to travel, hence why we have launched our new page, which allows for easy access to the latest and most relevant flights available. People are beginning to realise that private jet charter can be a cost effective way to travel even in today’s financial climate.”
When logging on to the page, clients are greeted with a list of the latest sectors available, detailing dates, destination and aircraft type, as well as the number of seats available. Clients then simply click for more information, and you will be sent details of the price, aircraft images, and any other information you require. We can also combine empty legs and live sectors in order to bring costs down on return trips.

G250 Renamed!
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has renamed the super midsized Gulfstream G250 aircraft; the business jet is now called the Gulfstream G280.
As demand for Gulfstream business jets grows around the world, the move was prompted by the company’s sensitivity to the varied cultures of its international customer base.
“Since introducing the Gulfstream G250 in 2008 and presenting it to customers around the world, we determined that G280 is a more amenable number sequence in certain cultures,” said Larry Flynn, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Gulfstream. “We value our international customers highly, and this change reflects our commitment to understanding the diverse cultures of our global business environment.”
The renaming will not affect any other in-production Gulfstream aircraft.

Eurocopter Delivers 1000th EC135!
Eurocopter delivered the 1,000th EC135 to its new owner.
Fifteen years after the first EC135 rolled off the production line at the Eurocopter plant in Donauwörth, the group’s President and CEO Lutz Bertling handed the keys of the 1,000th EC135 aircraft to Peter Meyer, the President of German automobile club ADAC.
This latest purchase brings the organisation’s fleet up to a total of 51 aircraft, including the BK117 and EC145 in addition to the EC135. In total, these aircraft have clocked up no less than 550,000 flight hours to date and saved numerous lives.
The EC135 is also availble for charter with Execflyer, and takes helicopter charter to new levels of speed and comfort.

British Grand Prix 2011
Silverstone is always the busiest day in the UK helicopter charter calendar, but this year record numbers took to the skies in a bid to avoid the traffic and arrive at the circuit in style with an exclusive helicopter charter to Silverstone.
At Execflyer, we had our busiest British Grand Prix to date, and despite last minute bookings and incredibly tight slot restrictions, we are happy to say we got all of our clients in to the Grand prix circuit at their preferred arrival times!
Execflyer’s Jamie Dickson said “Silverstone was very successful for us this year, with most clients leaving bookings until the last 2 weeks. Despite many people opting for shuttle flights, the exclusive charter demand remained strong. Slot restrictions of 4 minutes coupled with no onsite parking and fuel also put extra strain on already busy helicopters, but we are pleased to say it all went smoothly on the day”.
Looking to next year, Execflyer will be offering an even wider selection of aircraft to our clients, to ensure greater availability and choice for their helicopter charter to the British Grand Prix.

London to New York in 90 minutes??
New plans have been unveiled at the Paris airshow for a 3000 mph aircraft, that could whisk passengers from London to new york in as little as 90 minutes!!
The aircraft, codenamed ZEHST, would be capable of flying 20 miles above the earths surface, and carrying passengers to Australia in under 3 hours!
Whats more, as the jet cruises in the upper atmosphere, there would be no pollution!
The only catch, it wont be ready for 40 years! Its something to look forward to I suppose!

Silverstone 2011
Helicopter charter landing slots for the 2011 Grand Prix are already approaching capacity as attendees jostle for position to arrive by helicopter to Silverstone for the first Grand Prix to be hosted at the newly refurbished GP circuit. The new circuit is 3.667 miles with the actual layout shown below:

You can see it is a long way from the original layout used in 1948:

The most notable change to the circuit however is the recenly completed multi million pound pit lane development, now situated on the straight between Club and Abbey.
With Britain's Lewis Hamilton closing the performance gap on Red Bull, the 2011 British Grand Prix promises to be an exciting spectacle. For more information on helicopter charter to the grand prix, email Helicopter to Silverstone or call 01926 840057
